This is extraordinary. I am not that familiar with the series, but this seems to be encyclopedic. I've been watching a couple of the series from the late s and am finding a Have Gun, Will Travel is better than I had remembered, mostly because of Richard Boone and good writing even Gene Roddenberry occasionallyand b Wanted: Dead or Alive is mildly disappointing even with Steve McQueen, because the writing usually isn't as good.
He played U. Marshal Jim Crown who patrolled the million acre stretch of land between Oklahoma and Kansas known as the Cimarron Strip. His major challenge was attempting to settle range wars between the cattlemen and the settlers along the route. Marshal Crown not only had to keep an eye on Cimarron City, he also crossed paths with the desperados and other bad guys who trafficked the territory.
These notes spoiler the whodunit, so you might want to watch it first. Like the longer-running The Virginian, the single-season Western series Cimarron Strip consisted of feature-length episodes. It presented the adventures of a frontier Marshal, Jim Crown Stuart Whitmanshowing something of a social conscience courtesy series developer Christopher Knopf and a tendency to take history a bit more seriously than the average Gunsmoke.
